Robbie Keane: I am the captain Galaxy, not Gerrard
Dublin – The arrival of Steven Gerrard to the Los Angeles Galaxy this summer led to rumors that he will be the new captain of the team. But it was denied by Robbie Keane who is the captain of the Galaxy at this time.
Gerrard will join the Galaxy in July next after his contract with Liverpool runs out. Galaxy will be a new adventure for Gerrard considering that his career was spent with Liverpool.
Gerrard’s presence in the MLS champions three times it also led to rumors that the Galaxy coach Bruce Arena, will embed the armband on the arm of 34-year-old footballer, who for the new season will be held Keane.
Gerrard himself has since 2004 become captain of Liverpool and he also had served as captain of the England before retiring after the 2014 World Cup.

“I’ve talked to Steven and he was very curious about the challenge of playing at LA Galaxy. He will be a very nice addition to our squad,” he continued.
