Everton Last Hope of England

“Being a United Kingdom last team in the Europa League is a very satisfactory achievement and we are very pleased with the way we played in two games against a team that was amazing,” said the Everton manager, Roberto Martinez, on Sky Sports.
Martinez said he was surprised to find teams of the United Kingdom such as Tottenham, Liverpool and Celtic fall when the new competition entering the round of 32.
“I was surprised because the quality in our league, you feel we can compete in European leagues,” he said.
“Certainly in the Europa League, with the quality of the Spurs, Liverpool, and even Celtic after a draw against Inter Milan, you feel you can talk a lot in this competition,” added Martinez.
“It shows you that it is not easy to play in European competition. It’s not easy having to adapt and play away, adapting to the style and different ways to play,” he said.
