London – Oscar will not strengthen the Brazilian national team in the Copa America 2015. Chelsea midfielder was injured and had to miss.

Brazil coach Dunga, explained that he made the decision to write off an Oscar after discussion with the medical team Chelsea. He did not want to impose an Oscar to appear if the players are not in the best condition.

“He got an injury in the last training session with Chelsea,” said Dunga was quoted Soccerway.

“We spoke with (Chelsea manager Jose) Mourinho and Chelsea’s physicians. The period of recovery will be somewhat longer. So, he will not be in the best condition,” he continued.

“We think he will be better prepared for the World Cup qualifiers, which will begin shortly after the Copa America,” said Dunga.

Oscar has collected 45 caps with the Brazilian national team since diving debut in 2011. The midfielder who is now 23-year-old contributed 12 goals for the Selecao.

“I am very sad because he can not defend my country in the Copa America because of an injury. Thank you for all the attention!” Oscar said.

Copa America will be held on 11 June to 4 July 2015 in Chile. Brazil in Group C along with Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela.
